Meet Ric
Ricardo Toledo Amador, PMHNP-BC (ANCC) is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Arizona and Oregon. Dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care, he began his clinical career as a Registered Nurse in 2012 and has spent over 11 years working in inpatient psychiatric settings. Throughout his career, Ricardo has gained hands-on experience across diverse populations and care environments, including active military personnel, substance dependence recovery, acute psychiatric stabilization, adolescent and pediatric care, and comprehensive care management. Ricardo offers telehealth services to patients in Arizona and Oregon.
His approach is grounded in listening first. He believes that effective mental health treatment begins with understanding each person's story, goals, struggles, and strengths. His goal is to create a safe and supportive space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their care. Through careful assessment, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning, he helps patients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, trauma, and attention concerns that affect daily life, relationships, work, and overall well-being.
Why Vespertino Health?
The name Vespertino Health reflects the heart of this work. “Vespertino” is connected to the evening, a time often associated with reflection, transition, and restoration. In mental health, many people come to care during seasons of change, uncertainty, or emotional heaviness. Vespertino Health represents the belief that even during difficult or darker moments, there is still room for healing, renewal, and hope. Just as evening creates space to pause and reset, Vespertino Health is committed to helping patients find balance, direction, and a healthier path forward.
